And So It Begins.....

It is my hope beyond hope that winter is indeed coming to an end - as many of you know I don't like the season much (despite having a Feb birthday!!) I am very much like my whippets in that regard. Tris and I have "disagreements" about being outside in the winter LOL. In addition to the cold, I am so excited for this summer as I cannot wait to get out with Cece and the next generation of Solomag Whippets! Jewel, is developing so nicely - she is all I hoped for and more - I am so eager to debut her this summer (she is old enough come April) along with her sister Sadie (loved and residing with the Soloway family) who I will probaly debut a little later this year....and getting Easy E back into the ring to finish his title! He is finally coming out of his immature growth stage and I think he will continue to turn heads with his mere presence - he is the ultimate showman - I am hoping that he and Cece will have fun together trying PeeWee Jr's this year! Ramses, continues to act like a very fine wine - he gets better with age! I am hopeful to have him out sporadically this year in search of his Grand Championship (he already has acquired Gr.Ch points) I am very pleased to see how the Summer X Ramses puppies are developing and cannot wait to bring my girl home from that litter. Thanks again to Rhonda Ship, for recognizing the virtues of my boy and concluding that he and Summer would make lovely puppies - so much so that there might be a repeat in the works so stay tuned!!

Speaking of puppies, the Divine Miss D. "Dancer" has decided to come into season - if all goes according to plan she will be bred to Kim and Tom's lovely Tag, National Specialty Best Of Opposite Winner, Can. Am. Ch. Cariad's U're It At Spellbound for April/May puppies. Thank you to all the wonderful families interested in this litter - if you would like reservation details please contact me as I still may have limited availability.

Never forgotten or left out - Miss Tris ended last year wiht a bang, picking up her first 3 points in commanding fashion with a breed win over specials. We will be back out this year to obtain her Championship - now if she would just decide to STOP blowing coat ;)

I continue to be actively involved with The Whippet Club of Eastern Canada, once again show chair for one of the 2016 Regional Specialties. This time we have patnered with the Kingston and District Kennel Club in June - there are FIVE sets of points available - a specailty and a booster! I am so excited for this weekend and want to again thank everyone invloved in making this happen, we have even secured sponsorship with Royal Canin - a feat that could not have happened without a dedicated team of people. Please join us June 18th for what promises to be a great weekend with some fantastic people and fabulous whippets!

That's all for now, stay warm and remember - spring is just around the corner!!

Jewel agreeing "Cold sucks Mom!"
