SOLOMAG WHIPPETS- ICE

Ice comes to me courtesy of Lucy and Dave Hudson (Ludah Whippets). Ice and I have a very special relationship. In all my years of sharing my life with dogs I have never met a dog who is quite so devoted. From the moment I met her we have had this special connection, She has an instant level of trust in me that will allow me to do just about anything with her.

She is the polar opposite of her daughter, the beautiful Emma. Ice prefers to look at the world as a quiet and dignified lady from the couch leaving the rambunctious stuffed animal "killing" to Em and Fox our lovely German Shepherd who is also Emma and Ice's "protector" She is quite timid at times (with strangers) but is very affectionate once she comes around. She was an excellent mother to her only litter (pictured below sired by the outstanding sire Ch.Ludah's Fats Domino aka"Fats". He is also the sire of numerous puppy group winners, group placing dogs, a Best Puppy In Show winner, Best in Specialty show winner of the National Whippet Club Of Canada Specialty Show. Ch. Dragonsong's Madison Ave As well as many Canadian Champions. When the mood strikes Ice she will play the "professional show dog". The above picture was taken at my FIRST show in 11 years, winning a Group 4th over several Specials! Ice and I were quite thrilled that day! The Picture on the right was taken April '09 after Ice went Winners Bitch Fri and Sat at Victoria County Kennel Club to finish her CKC Championship. I am very proud of her.

She is now involved in what I'm sure will be a fun new hobby for her: straight racing.
